Haven Building Design
A residential building design studio on the Sunshine Coast, migrated from Weebly for better performance.
What the business needed
Haven Building Design is a one-person design studio run by Scott Eccles, a licensed building designer (QBCC #15310559) based in Yaroomba. The existing site was built on Weebly, and the main thing Scott wanted out of a rebuild was speed. Weebly’s page builder carries a lot of overhead that a site owner has little control over, and that shows up directly in load times and in tools like Google’s PageSpeed Insights.
What was built
A rebuilt site with performance treated as a requirement rather than an afterthought: image assets sized and compressed properly, no unnecessary scripts or builder bloat, and clean markup instead of the layers a drag-and-drop platform generates. The existing content and images from the Weebly site were carried across as-is, so nothing had to be rewritten or re-shot, and the migration didn’t create any extra work on Scott’s side.
The result
The rebuilt site is faster than the Weebly version and scores well on Google’s PageSpeed Insights. The migration was smooth: Scott’s existing content and assets moved across directly, with no rewriting or extra input needed from him.
