What the business needed

Freelance work across three separate disciplines creates an awkward problem for a website. A studio looking for a 3D modeller, a developer looking for Unity work and a training team looking for eLearning are three different audiences, and each one needs to see relevant work quickly. Put everything on one page and each visitor has to dig past two thirds of it that does not apply to them.

The site needed to serve all three without making any of them feel like an afterthought, and without splitting into three separate websites.

What was built

A portfolio site that presents the three service areas separately, so a visitor looking for one of them is not made to read about the other two:

• 3D modelling, covering game-ready assets in Maya, Blender and ZBrush, with texturing in Substance Painter
• Unity work, covering asset implementation, building interfaces from Figma designs and level design
• Instructional design, covering eLearning modules in Articulate Rise 360 and Storyline, video production and accessibility

Each area leads with the tools and the kind of work involved, so a visitor can tell within a few seconds whether it is what they came for. Alongside the service areas the site carries completed project work, career history and a contact route.
